♥<3 the one when it was his birthday

Sometimes i sit and i wonder
And i just can't seem to believe

I know that this post is 2 months overdue...
I'm sorry!
I really really want to blog about it ok?
But blogger was being a bitch.
:(
Anyways, Eddy's 23rd birthday was on 29 Jul.
It was on a Wednesday. but knowing how much he loves the company of his friends and cousins, I decided it to be on a Sunday when most of our friends would be able to attend his mini celebration at Ben & Jerry's Lounge at the Cathay.
I booked the Ben & Jerry's Lounge at the Cathay 2 months in advance.
Yes, I was THAT kan-chiong.

Anyway.....
I had decided a long long long time ago that I wanted to make a treasure hunt for his birthday.
So a few days prior to that eventful day, I went all around town with Khal searching for the right gifts and stopovers. (Thanks for accompanying me, darling!!)
There were 5 stopovers in total.
Every stopover had a gift and a card with a clue on where to go next.
The stopovers were Famous Amos at Cineleisure, Kinokuniya, the flower shop at Ngee Ann City, the accessories shop at Taka and the Ben & Jerry's!
The 4 mini gifts were a heart-shaped cookie with "Love of my life" on it, a black leather organizer, a stalk of red rose with "Happy Birthday" stamped on the rose petal and 2 really really cuuuuuuute socks.
hahahaha.

Lucky all the sales person were willing to play along with the Treasure Hunt.
(except for the Kinokuniya staff after which I spoke to her manager and her manager played along!)

Before the treasure hunt,
I had promised Eddy that I would get for him a semi-acoustic guitar for his birthday..
and so we searched high and low for the perfect one.
When we finally found the perfect one (yet to be named til now btw.)
it was already 4.30pm.
:(
We were behind schedule but we were famished.
After we ate, I told Eddy that I wanted to go to the loo.
and then he said "You are leaving me, aren't you? You are going to leave me like how you left me for the AiRul's amazing race, right?"
hahahahha.
kesiaaaan.
I thought twice if I should go with him for the hunt.
Poor him had to go all over Town alone with the new guitar on his back with only one hour to finish the whole thing!
kesiaaaan.

I left him and a clue card in his guitar bag and went straight to Ben & Jerry's.
5.30pm and no one was there yet. Everyone was suppose to be there by 5.30pm.

Aini and Fazli was the first to arrive.
Then it was Soffie and bf (now ex-bf.).
Followed by Nisa, Sharul, Azi and Andy.
Next were Halif, Naseef and Janice.
and then Ammar and gf, and Weiling and Azima.
Eddy's cousins were late!!!!!!
and they were supposed to be the first people to arrive.
-___- pfft.
Aini and Fazli helped with the balloons and ugly banner.
I didn't know the banner was THAT ugly until Aini pointed it out.
She did tried to salvage my reputation by editing the banner abit, but it was in vain.
It was still ugly.
booooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Eddy was 45mins late!
He was lost. Apparently he had nooooo idea WHERE is kinokuniya.
It was freaking obvious that reading is not his hobby.
lol.

Anyways.........
when he finally came, the look on his face was priceless.
:) That look made everything so worth it.
It was such a shame that his close buddies like Kamsani, Hisyam, Azfar were not able to make it due to work & school commitments.

Too bad the projector's not working.
Otherwise, it would have been perfect.

The cake was superbly goood!!!!!!
But none of the guests ate it.
They were all too buzy eating the free ice cream.

That's the first thing he want to do to me when he received a surprise.
How grateful!

I paid the whole thing so you guys can eat them for free.

I wouldn't want my guests to pay for the party that I had planned...
Plus, there wasn't any real food.
Just ice cream for everyone.
Funny thing is, Eddy and I only had one ice cream and even then,
we did not get to finish it.

My mom thought it was pretty nice, though.
I wonder what she was thinking...

♥<3 the one with raya 2009

We can pretend nothing's changed
Pretend it's all the same
And there would be no pain tonight
It's gonna be alright

My baju raya on the first day.
SOOOOOO cute ryte?
The ribbon reminds my male cousin of "Pin the donkey."
o_O
but I don't care.

The first day of Raya was the same as every other year.
Just different clothes.
Different decoration for the house.
I have no idea why this year, I thought of my dad alot.
Thinking about my dad wasn't a good thing.
It made me think about how he just threw us out of his life like garbage and how easy it was for him to throw away his own flesh and blood so that he could start a new life.
I have friends who lost their dad because they passed away.
But I can tell you that losing them like that is much much easier than losing a dad like how I did. Your dad did not choose to leave. Mine did.
He CHOSE to leave us.
He left and I've never heard from him since.
and to think that I have to look for him when I'm about to be married is crazy!
Why? Why should I find someone who has abandoned us out of his free will?
why? why? why? oh god why???
*shrugs*
Truthfully? Having his blood in my veins make me hate myself sometimes.
:(

anyhoooos...... enough with the sad sob story...
( I cut my fringe on my own and now my hair is all ugly! Pfft.)
The second day of Raya.. all of us wore white!
Tell me my sisters and I look alike!
:)
I'm not the sweet demure and act all lady-like type of girl.
So in just an hour of wearing the baju, I had Ayam Masak Merah stains on my sleeves.
Tsktsktsk.
Kesiaaaaaannn...

The Fasting month flew by in a blink of an eye and then Raya came...
so fast right??
:(
I wish Ramadan stayed a little bit longer..
but Happy Hari Raya everybody!
Nurul would like to take this opportunity to apologise for all the things I've done and said that might have hurt everyone, anyone this past year.
I'm not perfect.

Fazli's bday was when both are having exams, so we decided to hang out only after their exams.
It was just a small surprise but I really do hope Aini and Fazli had as much fun as I did.
