Eddy surprised me with 2 tickets to the Singapore Idol Finale last Sunday!
Well, I ruined his surprise by asking him tons of questions and figuring it out for myself.

You know I’ve been rooting for Sylvia since Day 1...
I thought for someone who has never sang professionally before she went to the Idol auditions, she was one of the best in the entire competition.
Sezairi was a pub singer before and I would assume he is a seasoned performer so I didn’t see much of it.
This year’s competition had more strong female voices than male voices.
But most of the female contestants were booted out early.
Can I conclude that for 3 years in a row, the majority of voters are females ranging from 16 to 25?
Hahahahahaa.
Maybe because the only people that were voting, were their family members and friends.
I have no say though because I never voted until the finals.
When the show started, I was already religiously voting for Sylvia.
After both contestants had sung their 3 songs, I changed my mind and vote.

The first song, I thought Sylvia could have done better and Airi did his best.
I loved how he was calm, composed and downright having fun on stage.
The second song, Sylvia spoiled it. She spoiled my one of my favourite song.

She chose the wrong song, I guess.
Airi stepped up his game! I thought he did his best the first song.
But he did even better for the second song!
He won my vote.
So, I voted twice as much as I voted for Sylvia.
He was THAT wonderful.
By the third song, I felt that Airi was already a winner! In just one hour, he had switched my vote. Truly amazing!

When he won, he said something that was really deep:

This Idol experience taught me that people love more than they hate.

Goosebumps were all over my body when she sang. A petite adorable girl with SOOOOO BIG the voice.

Met a few of Eddy’s Idol friends (Thanks Jon for reserving the tickets for us!) but too bad we did not take pictures.
FYI, most of the pictures in my blog are from my handphone camera.
