Anyways, Eddy's 23rd birthday was on 29 Jul.
It was on a Wednesday. but knowing how much he loves the company of his friends and cousins, I decided it to be on a Sunday when most of our friends would be able to attend his mini celebration at Ben & Jerry's Lounge at the Cathay.
I booked the Ben & Jerry's Lounge at the Cathay 2 months in advance.
Yes, I was THAT kan-chiong.


Anyway.....
I had decided a long long long time ago that I wanted to make a treasure hunt for his birthday.
So a few days prior to that eventful day, I went all around town with Khal searching for the right gifts and stopovers. (Thanks for accompanying me, darling!!)
There were 5 stopovers in total.
Every stopover had a gift and a card with a clue on where to go next.
The stopovers were Famous Amos at Cineleisure, Kinokuniya, the flower shop at Ngee Ann City, the accessories shop at Taka and the Ben & Jerry's!
The 4 mini gifts were a heart-shaped cookie with "Love of my life" on it, a black leather organizer, a stalk of red rose with "Happy Birthday" stamped on the rose petal and 2 really really cuuuuuuute socks.
hahahaha.

Lucky all the sales person were willing to play along with the Treasure Hunt.
(except for the Kinokuniya staff after which I spoke to her manager and her manager played along!)


Before the treasure hunt,
I had promised Eddy that I would get for him a semi-acoustic guitar for his birthday..
and so we searched high and low for the perfect one.
When we finally found the perfect one (yet to be named til now btw.)
it was already 4.30pm.
:(
We were behind schedule but we were famished.
After we ate, I told Eddy that I wanted to go to the loo.
and then he said "You are leaving me, aren't you? You are going to leave me like how you left me for the AiRul's amazing race, right?"
hahahahha.
kesiaaaan.
I thought twice if I should go with him for the hunt.
Poor him had to go all over Town alone with the new guitar on his back with only one hour to finish the whole thing!
kesiaaaan.

I left him and a clue card in his guitar bag and went straight to Ben & Jerry's.
5.30pm and no one was there yet. Everyone was suppose to be there by 5.30pm.

Aini and Fazli was the first to arrive.
Then it was Soffie and bf (now ex-bf.).
Followed by Nisa, Sharul, Azi and Andy.
Next were Halif, Naseef and Janice.
and then Ammar and gf, and Weiling and Azima.
Eddy's cousins were late!!!!!!
and they were supposed to be the first people to arrive.
-___- pfft.
Aini and Fazli helped with the balloons and ugly banner.
I didn't know the banner was THAT ugly until Aini pointed it out.
She did tried to salvage my reputation by editing the banner abit, but it was in vain.
It was still ugly.
booooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Eddy was 45mins late!
He was lost. Apparently he had nooooo idea WHERE is kinokuniya.
It was freaking obvious that reading is not his hobby.
lol.

Anyways.........
when he finally came, the look on his face was priceless.
:) That look made everything so worth it.
It was such a shame that his close buddies like Kamsani, Hisyam, Azfar were not able to make it due to work & school commitments.
